According to Midwxst, E3 is a character characterized by self-absorption. E3's primary focus is on his own concerns, and he tends not to prioritize or invest time in others due to the overwhelming aspects of his own life. Despite being aware of his ability to positively impact those around him, E3 seems trapped in a cycle dictated by the only life he knows. Since late 2019, I've been a dedicated Midwxst fan, always convinced that he was destined to dominate the music scene and shatter numerous musical boundaries. To me, he embodies a true visionary and creator, exhibiting a down-to-earth yet mysteriously captivating persona. Conversations with him only confirm that his art is everything to him. Midwxst firmly believes in the profound power of storytelling across diverse creative mediums. As an artist, he is someone we should feel honored to watch, grow, and witness develop over time.

Q: Midwxst, your sound is a captivating fusion of hyper pop and digicore. Can you take us through the creative process and influences that have played a significant role in crafting your distinct musical style? What were some key elements or inspirations that led to the development of your sound?

Midwxst explained:

“The roots of both hyperpop and digicore are incredibly diverse, stemming from various backgrounds such as the SoundCloud rap scene, exemplified by artists like X (XXXTentacion) and Ski (Ski Mask the Slump God).” He said the fusion of a traditional rap sound with a classic digicore vibe became a distinctive hallmark. “Personally, I found myself drawn to more graphic and hard-hitting sounds, influenced by my deep appreciation for EDM and electronic music. My first live musical experience was at a Porter Robinson & Madeon show during the Shelter tour, accompanied by my dad, left a profound impact. Witnessing the intricate musical composition and visuals, with minimal emphasis on lyricism, was a transformative moment.”

“For me, digicore and hyperpop served as a dynamic launching pad, allowing exploration into uncharted sonic territories. The excitement for touring this album stems from knowing its potential and the unexplored realms it can traverse. I recognize that groundbreaking and unique creations often face criticism, especially when deviating from the norm. This album, however, is a theatrical journey from start to finish—an immersive experience. Even if you don't listen to the entire album, there are individual tracks that are bound to linger in your mind, offering a glimpse into the distinctive sonic landscape I aim to present.”
