Every so often, a night comes around that really lights up why we’re all here in the music world. It’s about those moments that highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion and just how powerful women can be.
The She Rocks Awards during NAMM 2024 proved to be such a night. We got to celebrate legends like Debbie Gibson and Susanna Hoffs, but what really struck a chord with us was seeing the amazing efforts of people like Holly G (Black Opry Founder) and Lindsay Love-Bivens (Taylor Guitars). They’re not just making music, they’re making a difference in their communities and shaping the industry for the better.
Women are not only just rocking on the stage though, we’re also behind the scenes, pushing for a change. We’re talking equal pay, stronger inclusion, community support and bringing a sense of empathy and love to an industry that can sometimes feel a bit cold. The She Rocks Awards truly highlights everyone, both in spotlight and in the shadows, and we felt it. It was inspiring and motivational to feel supported by such an amazing organization like WIMN (the Women’s International Music Network).
